i don't think it's a subtle conspiracy to include subliminal messages. here's what i see when i look at the logo:
if you lay a book on a table and let the pages turn freely, stoop down and look at the end of the spine. you see the edges of the pages turning -
"flyleaf" the first page in a book...
it also reminds me of this verse:
"For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing." II Corinthians 2:15
and this was a great interpretation of the logo:
i don't think it was ever intended to be an absolute. different people will interpret it differently based on their experiences, just like the songs.
